Club History  

Kiwanis Club of Southwest-Lafayette, Louisiana was officially incorporated February 26, 1985. Approved by the State of Louisiana, Secretary of State, James H. “Jim” Brown.


Kiwanis Club of Southwest-Lafayette is one of five local clubs, within the district, consisting of Louisiana, Mississippi & West Tennessee.


Along with Kiwanis International, the main goal, mission, & purpose of Kiwanis Club Southwest-Lafayette, Louisiana is working with local dedicated volunteers & communities, changing the world one child and one community at a time

 Original Directors-1985: Harvey Arceneaux, Thomas Brown, Henry Hunt IV, Ed Marshall, Carl Tapo, Charles West, John Martin Al Thierry.
Original Incorporators-1985: Thomas Brown, John Martin, Al Thierry.
